financial services director - liz haley
Liz Haley serves as the Financial Services Director for the Center for Children and Families. She oversees payroll, billing processes, contract management, and human resources. Liz came to the Center in 2012 and holds a B.A. in Family Studies from Samford University and is working towards her M.A. in Professional Counseling.
Karissa Humphries serves as the Director of Administrative Services and oversees the referral and intake process, coordinating with collaterals, families, and staff, for the Center for Children and Families’ Therapeutic Services division. She also serves as the family therapist at the Center’s Children’s Advocacy Center. Karissa came to the Center in 2006 and began working in Therapeutic Services in 2012. Karissa received her B.S. in Family and Consumer Sciences and M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from The University of Louisiana at Monroe, and is currently working towards her PhD.

Carrie Perry serves as the Director of Advocacy for The Children and Families’ CASA division where she assists the CASA program coordinator in supervision of CASA NELA region wide and collaborates and assists the Community Development Team and also supervises the 5th and 6th JDC CASA programs. Carrie holds a B.A. in Human Sciences/ Family Life and Child Development from the University of Louisiana at Monroe
John Sowders serves as a the Clinical Director for the Center for Children and Families’ Therapeutic Services division and supervises the Crisis Intervention Program that provides intensive in home family therapy to families who are currently in crisis situations. John holds a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from The University of Louisiana at Monroe, a M.S in Marriage and Family Therapy from The University of Wisconsin Stout, a B.A in Psychology and Child Development from Central Michigan University and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. John began working at The Center for Children and Families in 2010 as an intern in the Homebuilders Program and has also worked in the Family Reintegration and Safe Schools Programs.
