This Christmas,  The Radio People are teaming up with The Center for Children and Families to help make the holiday season brighter for children in our community! The “Stuff A Bus” Gift Drive is an annual event in honor of the Center’s Christmas Project, an enormous endeavor to fulfill wish lists for children in need. We are humbled by the response from our community year after year. We believe that when you give a toy or gift, it is so much more than that. You are giving HOPE to the children and families who need it most.
So what exactly is the The Christmas Project you ask? The Christmas Project is an annual effort by the Center for Children and Families to provide Christmas gifts for underprivileged children who are served through our CASA, CAC, and Therapeutic Services programs. These are children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect, children who are dealing with difficult life situations, children who need a reason to smile again. Nearly 1000 children in our community will fill out a personal wish list each year. After wish lists are completed, it's our job to find a sponsor for each child. Sponsors are asked to purchase an outfit of clothing with the sizes provided and at least one toy item off the child’s list. For those children who will come under our services after the wish list deadline has passed, the “Stuff-a-Bus” campaign makes certain that they, too, can still receive a much needed gift of hope at Christmas time.
Providing gifts for nearly 1000 children each year isn’t something we could do on our own. We have so many dedicated community members to thank for continually supporting The Christmas Project and Stuff a Bus, and making Christmas wishes come true for children of all ages across Northeast Louisiana.

-Cindy Murray, Founder of The Center for Children and Families
During Stuff a Bus, The Radio People crews from K104, LA105, 100.1 The Beat, 99.7 My FM, and Mix 101.9 go live on location, encouraging listeners to “stuff” the bus full of new, unwrapped toys to be donated to the Christmas Project.

As always, we greatly appreciate your support. None of this is possible without you!
If your business would like to join on as an event sponsor or as a remote Drop-Off Site, please call us a (318)398-0945 for more info!
